DESII Access
Access Request Form
Are you new to DESII? You can request editing access to DESII here. Just download the DESII Access Request Form (PDF) and send the completed and signed form to the DESII support team by attaching it to the DESII Help Request form. We will grant you access to DESII for the subject codes you specify.
DESII 4.0 Login and VPN Requirements
User IDs and Passwords
To access the DESII application, you will need:
- Your UC Login ID and Kerberos password.
- DESII User Name and password.
- A new DESII username will be assigned to you by the DESII team for DESII 4.0. You will be asked to create a new password during your first login attempt. This will be different from your standard UC Davis login password (your Kerberos password).
- To reset your DESII password, contact us via the DESII Help Request form.
VPN Requirements
Note: Unless you are working on campus and using a wired network connection, VPN Connection with the 'Full-Tunnel' option is required to access the DESII 4.0 application and SISDS.

Login Instructions
DESII 4.0 is a web application accessed by authorized users from a web browser.
- Open the DESII homepage and click DESII 4.0 (Authorized users only)
- Enter your Kerberos credentials at any authentication prompts
- At the DESII Cold Fusion application window, enter your DESII 4.0 username and password. The username will be your UCD login ID appended with 'CF'. If logging in for the first time, your password will be same as your username. See an example below:
Username: DESDEPTCF Password: DESDEPTCF
Note: After you login using your default password, you will be prompted to change the password.
