DESII Connect

Accessing DESII Connect via RemoteApp (authorized users only):

DESII is a web application that can be accessed through a web browser via a RemoteApp (CFO Remote App and Desktop Connection).  Only authorized users may access RemoteApp.  See next section below for information on accessing DESII.

To use DESII, you need to have a DESII account and Java Runtime Environment (JRE) software. Users may have issues launching DESII application from their desktop (due to users/departments upgrading their java version, which may result in the java version installed on their desktop to be out of sync with the campus java application server).  To help address this issue, users must connect to a remote site (DESII Connect) using the RemoteApp and Desktop Connection in order to run the DESII application remotely.  For instructions on accessing DESII Connect, please see below.


User IDs and Passwords

To access the DESII application through the web, you need two passwords. First, you need your Kerberos password to access the application webpage (unless you have already provided it in the same browser session). Second, a DESII usercode and password are needed to run the DESII application. This DESII password is different from your MyUCDavis and SIS-DS passwords that use your Kerberos password.

To apply for a DESII usercode and password, download the DESII Access Request Form (PDF) and follow the instructions provided on the form.
