Doctor of Nursing Practice – Nurse Anesthesia

2025-26 Estimated Self-Supporting Graduate Professional Degree Program (SSGPDP) Fees for Doctor of Nursing Practice – Nurse Anesthesia, DNP-NA 

This will be a three-year (12 quarters) Doctor of Nursing Practice program for critical care nurses (Registered Nurses - RNs, or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses - APRNs) to become nurse anesthetists. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) provide anesthesia care before, during and after surgery, as well as deliver other important health interventions, while providing patient- and family-centered, evidence-based care. The first cohort will matriculate in June of 2025.

Total program fee includes Access to Student Services fee. Health insurance is charged separately.

Document Fee: All new students admitted for academic year 2025-26 will be charged a one-time, life-time document fee of $150. Graduate students in the following professional degree programs are excluded and are instead charged on a pay-per-service basis: MD, JD, DVM, MBA, MPAc, and MSBA. The International Student Administrative Fee: All International students who are either sponsored by UC Davis for F-1 or J-1 status or would be sponsored by UC Davis for F-1 or J-1 status if physically present in the United States, will be charged the International Student Administrative Fee (ISAF). For 2025-26, the fees will be assessed in the fall, winter, and spring terms only ($138 per quarter or $207 per semester); the fees will not be assessed during summer terms. UC Graduate and Professional Council Systemwide Fee: All graduate students will be charged a UC Graduate and Professional Council (UCGPC) Systemwide Fee (inclusive of students in self-supporting graduate degree programs). The UCGPC Systemwide Fee is an annual, opt-out fee of $7 per graduate student to be charged at the beginning of each academic term. The fees will be assessed in the fall, winter, and spring terms only ($3 for the fall quarter, $2 for the winter quarter, and $2 for the spring quarter or $3.50 per semester); the fees will not be assessed during summer terms. Candidacy Fee: All graduate academic students will be charged an additional one-time Candidacy Fee upon advancing to candidacy.  The Candidacy Fee is $90 for PhD students and $55 for Master’s students. More information about the Candidacy Fee or Office of Graduate Studies at (530) 752-0650.

UC SHIP: All UC Davis students are required to have health insurance. In order to satisfy this requirement, all registered students are automatically enrolled in the University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP). If students have comparable insurance and do not want to be enrolled in UC SHIP, they must apply for a UC SHIP waiver by the date specified for their college or school. [3] Cal Vet exemption covers mandatory systemwide charges assessed by academic programs that receive State support. Cal Vet waivers may not be used for self-supporting programs.
