Notes

[1] In addition to the fees in the schedule above, undergraduate students may be charged other fees such as the ones listed below:

Document Fee: All new undergraduate, graduate academic, and graduate professional students admitted for academic year 2024-25 will be charged a one-time, life-time document fee of $150. Graduate students in the following professional degrees programs (M.D., J.D., D.V.M.,M.B.A., M.PAc., and M.S.B.A.) are excluded and will continue with pay-per-service charges. More information about the Document Fee.

New Student Orientation Fee: All new undergraduate students admitted for academic year 2024-25 will be charged the New Student Orientation Fee. Policies and fees are available at Aggie Orientation.

International Student Administrative Fee: All International students who are either sponsored by UC Davis for F-1 or J-1 status or would be sponsored by UC Davis for F-1 or J-1 status if physically present in the United States, will be charged the International Student Administrative Fee. The fees will be assessed in the fall, winter, and spring terms only ($132 per quarter or $198 per semester); the fees will not be assessed during summer terms. More information about International Student Administrative Fee.

UC Student Association Systemwide Fee: UC undergraduate students will be charged a UC Student Association (UCSA) Systemwide Fee. The UCSA Systemwide Fee is an annual, opt-out fee of $7 per undergraduate student to be charged at the beginning of each academic term. The fees will be assessed in the fall, winter, and spring terms only ($3 for the fall quarter, $2 for the winter quarter, and $2 for the spring quarter); the fees will not be assessed during summer sessions. More information about the UCSA Systemwide Fee.

Equitable Access: Access to all required textbooks and course content for undergraduate students is included for a flat rate of $169 per quarter through the Equitable Access Program. Students can choose to opt out each quarter. More information about Equitable Access.

[2] Systemwide tuition and fees are part of the UC Tuition Stability Plan, which includes Tuition, the Student Services Fee and undergraduate Nonresident Supplemental Tuition and will be assessed on a cohort basis for eligible students. Under the plan, these fees will remain flat for up to six years. For the purposes of assessing cohort-based charges, a student's cohort will be based upon the academic year of the term in which a student first enrolls at UC as a degree-seeking undergraduate. If a student believes their tuition rate is inaccurate based upon their first enrollment at UC as a degree-seeking undergraduate student, a General Appeal form can be filed. Additional information can be found at the Office of the University Registrar’s Retroactive Actions & General Appeal webpage.

[3] All UC Davis students are required to have health insurance. In order to satisfy this requirement, all registered students are automatically enrolled in the University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP). If students have comparable insurance and do not want to be enrolled in UC SHIP, they must apply for a UC SHIP waiver by the date specified for their college or school. More information about UC SHIP, including costs, coverage and other insurance details.

[4] Assumes employees are California residents, part-time students and eligible for the Reduced Fee Enrollment program.

Figures for tuition and fees represent currently approved or proposed amounts and may not be final. Actual tuition and fees are subject to change by the University of California as determined to be necessary or appropriate. Final approved tuition and fee levels may differ from the amounts presented. Some or all instruction for all or part of the academic year may be delivered remotely. Tuition and fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic year.
