Lookup CBR Rates Using the Title Code to CBR Mapping File
Contents
Before Using the Mapping File
It is important to understand that CBR rates are assigned based on a variety of employee-specific attributes and not title code alone.
The CBR Title Code Mapping File is provided as a planning and estimation tool to help identify the Composite Benefit Rate (CBR) category most commonly associated with a given title code. It is intended to support budgeting, forecasting, proposal development, recharge rate development, and other financial planning activities.
Users of this tool should understand that employee-specific circumstances ultimately determine the CBR rate applied in practice. As a result, employees with the same title code may be assigned different CBR rates.
This mapping file is NOT intended to confirm the CBR rate assigned to a specific employee. If you have questions regarding an employee's assigned CBR rate, please contact [email protected].

Best Practices
- Use the mapped CBR rate as a planning estimate when employee-specific information is unavailable.
- Use employee-level CBR information whenever it is available.
- Recognize that employees with the same title code may have different assigned CBR rates.
- Rely on payroll and personnel system data when validating actual employee costs and payroll charges.
- Periodically review estimates and assumptions as staffing and benefit classifications change.
